Celebrity Grooming Advice for the Summer of Splits
Grooming Lounge Shares Style Tips to Help Guys Getting Back on the Market
GroomingLounge.com, the nation’s premier resource for men’s grooming, is providing some complementary grooming and style advice for some soon-to-be celebrity divorcées. Average Joes trying to get back on the market might be able to identify with some of these guys as well and the experts at Grooming Lounge would like to help all soon-to-be-single gents re-acclimate to the solo life.
“Whether you’ve been unfaithful, absent, or partying too much is not our issue — but poor grooming is where we just have to step in,” said Grooming Lounge Founder Mike Gilman.
Grooming Lounge Director of Education, Ann Shim, studied some celebrity men going through very public break-ups and offered the following expert style advice for updating their look and redeeming themselves:
- Ben Affleck – Affleck’s beard crawls down his neck, abandoned. Beards actually require a fair amount of maintenance, including shaving the neck from a natural line (use a string to connect ears and shave beneath that line). Affleck’s t-shirt and sweats uniform is reflective of his apparently non-existent grooming routine. He needs to check back in all around. Next time he’s in the DC area, we would be happy to clean up his beard. Likewise, we are sure he has a closet full of well-tailored casual clothes, he should opt for a short-sleeved button down and chinos the next time he’s out in public.
- Scott Disick – We love beards at Grooming Lounge – but for Scott, it’s time to shave. One benefit to a clean-shaven face is that the guy tends to look more innocent – from what we’ve heard – Scott could use that kind of help.
- Gavin Rossdale – Get rid of the ponytail, also lighten up on the leather pants. We get it, you’re a rocker – but opting for a shorter do and more casual clothes while he transitions into the single life will make him look less like a victim of a mid-life crisis.
- Blake Shelton – Lighten up on the hair product. This fall’s trends call for a more natural look. Also, it is kind of a mood killer if a woman’s fingers get stuck in the hair.
Anne also offers this advice for the average guy whose style can often be frozen in time from the days he met his former spouse. Make an appointment at an upscale barber spa and ask for an updated cut, then ask questions and pay attention so that you may recreate your updated look at home day after day.
